Friday, 10.6.17
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
BETTY, the pop rock band fronted by Alyson Palmer and sisters Elizabeth and Amy Ziff, is known for clever lyrics and energetic live shows. The band’s heartfelt passion and signature soaring harmonies have been heard on such television shows as Weeds, Ugly Betty, and The L Word. Their latest release, Rise, features the song “One Billion Rising,” which the band wrote in 2013 for Eve Ensler’s global campaign to end violence against women and girls.
About Naked Soul
Naked Soul presents performances from some of the country’s top singer/songwriters without microphones or amplifiers, as if the music were, acoustically speaking, naked. The musicians in the series draw upon the universal themes inherent in Himalayan art—spirituality, peace, tolerance, wisdom, compassion—on select Friday evenings.
Presented with Music Without Borders.
Musical performances at the Rubin Museum are made possible by the Carlo and Micól Schejola Foundation.
Yamaha is the official piano of the Rubin Museum of Art.
