February Family Sundays:

This month, we celebrate the holiday of Losar, which marks the Tibetan Lunar New Year. The associated astrological symbol of the coming year is the Water Hare. People born during the year of the Water Hare are said to be sensitive to the feelings of others, and therefore dedicated to bringing about good in the world. Water represents the power to shift and change, while keeping a sense of clarity. As we mark this new year of the Water Hare, create your own Watercolor Hare to represent the good you wish to see in the world, and collage a field for your Water Hare wishes to leap forward from.

Reservations are required for the 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM time slots.

The program is free for your family, and each ticket comes with free access to the Museum galleries.

Each month we explore a new theme, with an art-making activity centered around that theme. A Museum educator does a brief demonstration of the project, teaches the art-making techniques, and lets you explore ways to make the project your own.
