December Family Sundays: Treasured Terma
What messages do you have for your future self? It is said that the Buddhist master Padmasambhava left terma, or hidden treasures, concealed in the ground, lakes or even the sky. These were meant for future discovery by highly-skilled students of Tibetan Buddhism. Following the terma tradition and in celebration of the end of 2018, December’s Family Sunday project encourages you to examine your connection to time by handcrafting a time capsule to treasure for the future.
You are welcome to bring your personal mementos, magazine and newspaper clippings, or other souvenirs to create your unique time capsule.
Family Sundays are made possible by New York Life. Additional support has been provided by Agnes Gund, Con Edison, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
Free for children and accompanying adults
