Ridley Scott’s dystopian masterpiece—adapted from Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?—brings audiences to a dark and intimidating world where replicants have infiltrated and need to be exterminated. Harrison Ford plays Rick Deckard and is joined on screen by a cast that gives an astounding humanity to the futuristic land. The groundbreaking special effects and ghastly cinematography earned the film marvelous reviews, including one by Dick, who said: “It was my own interior world. They caught it perfectly.”

About the Speakers

Jenny Gage and Tom Betterton are a couple whose collaboration in photography and film has brought a seductive, cinematic aesthetic to their projects in the worlds of art, fashion, and advertising. They first started showing their work at Luhring Augustine gallery in New York City and were then commissioned by Dennis Friedman at W magazine to shoot their first of many fashion editorials. Their photography and films have shown in galleries and museums throughout the world, and they recently published a photography monograph entitled Upstairs, Downstairs and Outside.
