Brooklyn Raga Massive presents The Unstruck Sound

Brooklyn Raga Massive presents The Unstruck Sound, an interactive concert inspired by the Vedic concept of Anahata Nada, the primordial sound that emanates from the universe.

OM, the primordial vibration, the big bang which created all from nothing, is the original unstruck sound. In Indian classical music, OM is represented by the drone of the tanpura.

This interactive performance begins with a brief lesson in overtone singing and pronouncing OM while clearly enunciating the harmonics. Group chants of OM will evolve into drones of overtone singing. Later guitar loops, Indian classical violin, and flutes join to create cosmic soundscapes reaching for the unstruck sound.
