Drawing from Masks

Delve into the exhibition Becoming Another: The Power of Masks, by creatively exploring masks from across the northern hemisphere. Learn about the cultures, stories, and spiritual practices represented by the masks during an exhibition tour and then make a detailed sketch of your preferred mask in the galleries. Guided by artist Carmen Mensink, develop your sketch into an original work of art with paint, collage, and other mixed media, to express your personal connection to the beauty and transformative power of masks. No previous experience necessary. All materials included.

Program fee does not include lunch. Box lunches may be pre-ordered from Café Serai for an additional fee of $15. Box lunch pre-orders must be placed before 5 PM on Wednesday, July 8.
