February Sundays: Fire Bird Masks and Lanterns
Did you know that Losar, the Himalayan New Year, is celebrated for fifteen days? Around this time, the Chinese Lantern Festival takes place, marking the last day of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
Come kick off the Year of the Fire Bird with Losar and Lunar New Year-inspired activities. Adorn yourself with a feather-ful bird mask to embody this auspicious zodiac or make a lantern to add a warm glow to your day.
Don’t forget to join us for our special, free Losar Family Day on Sunday, February 19th, from 12-4pm to experience the Himalayan New Year throughout the Museum!
