Mala for Mother’s Day
With Satya Jewelry
Saturday, 5.6.17
12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
The mala is a traditional garland of 108 prayer beads. Every bead represents a truth, and meditating on them with an affirmation, or mantra, is used to bring peace of mind. The mala can also be seen as a metaphor for life: a small knot between each of the beads represents a challenge between the smoother, more beautiful aspects of life.
In this workshop led by Satya Scainetti, co-founder of Satya Jewelry, participants will learn the sacred art of mala making and how the beads are used in daily practice. Each participant will leave the workshop with a one-of-a-kind mala—a lovely gift for mothers or honorary mothers.
Participants will have the option to choose from one of the following stones in advance of the workshop:
Angelite (balance)
Black onyx (endurance)
Carnelian (courage and fearlessness)
Fancy jasper (interconnectedness)
Green onyx (guidance and endurance)
Rose quartz (love heals the heart)
The availability of each stone is limited and reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact the box office with your choice of stone after purchasing your ticket. Materials are included in the price of the workshop.
