Tong-Tong Zhu is a Ph.D. candidate in the laboratory of Dr. Ana Fernandez-Sesma in the Department of Microbiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He holds a Masters of Public Health in Health Policy Analysis from Columbia University, and graduated summa cum laude from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He has held a research position in the Department of Biological Sciences at St. John’s University under Dr. Rachel Zufferey, as well as Emergency Management and Public Affairs & Marketing internships at Mount Sinai Health System. Tong-Tong belongs to the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) and has published papers in high-impact journals on important human diseases, currently focusing on Dengue and Zika viruses.
